Commercial tax official dies in mishap

A Commercial tax official died and his son was seriously injured when their car overturned near Kulithalai in Karur district, police said today.

They said Santhakrishnan and his son were on their way to Karur last night when Santhanakrishnan who was driving the car lost control of the vehicle which hit an electric post and overturned.

Police rushed them to hospital where Santhanakrishnan succumbed to injuries.

The condition of his son admitted to the hospital is said to be critical, police said.
