Deputy tehsildar held for taking Rs 1.3 lakh in bribe

A Deputy Tehsildar in Warangal district of Telangana was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly taking Rs 1.3 lakh as bribe.

T Srinivas, posted in the office of Land Reforms and Acquisition at Warangal (Urban), was trapped by ACB officials yesterday while he was taking Rs 1.3 lakh bribe from a complainant for doing an official favour, an ACB release said here today.

After recovery of the amount from the accused officer he was arrested, it said.
