Farmer dies in leopard attack near Khed in Ratnagiri

A farmer died in an attack by a leopard near Khed in Ratnagiri district, a senior forest officer said.

The deceased has been identified as Anant Pawar, said the official, adding, the leopard attacked Pawar when was returning home from his field near jungle area last night.

The family members started searching him near the jungle, where they found his body, said range forest officer Suresh Varak.
