Several farmers today protested at Narwana here against alleged non-availability of urea in the area and blocked a railway track, disrupting rail traffic for around two hours.

The agitating farmers squatted on Narwana-Jakhal section rail track and held demonstration, police said.

The track was cleared after two hours of protest following an assurance from the government officials that urea would be made available to them soon, they said.

The protesting farmers alleged that they are forced to buy urea from black markets due to "acute shortage" of it in the state.
