Former Union minister Buta Singh bereaved

Former Union home minister Buta Singh's elder sister Pritam Kaur passed away at her native village here today. She was 95.

Kaur breathed her last in Jallowal village on the Jalandhar-Bhogpur road.

She is survived by a daughter and four sons, including former Punjab minister and Kapurthala district Congress chief Joginder Singh Mann.

Kaur had not been keeping well for some time, said a family member.

The cremation would take place after one of her sons, who is settled abroad, arrived here.

While Mann has already reached Jallowal, Buta Singh is likely to reach the village tomorrow.
