Four arrested by STF

Uttar Pradesh police today arrested

four members of a gang allegedly involved in stealing goods transported through trucks.

Acting on a tip-off, Special Task Force of state police arrested four persons in Rae Bareli district and seized a truck from their possession, sources said.

Around 1,200 crates of beer worth Rs 16 lakh were loaded in the truck, they said.

According to sources, the arrested persons booked orders for transportation and later diverted the goods to another destination.
