Groom's brother arrested after celebratory firing injures one

The brother of a bridegroom and another person were arrested after a physically challenged person was injured during celebratory firing here, police said today.

The incident took place during a marriage ceremony at Parshuram dharamshala in Anand Vihar colony when some youths, who were dancing, started firing, SP Jagdish Sharma said.

Pradip Sharma alias Babli sustained a bullet injury in his stomach and was rushed to a local hospital where he was referred to a Meerut hospital, he said.
