Guar gum prices rose by Rs 13 at Rs 7,411 per five quintal in futures trade on Thursday as investors increased their holdings on spot demand.
Analyst said tracking firm physical market trend traders opted to raise their bets which led to rise in guar gum prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for November delivery went up by Rs 13, or 0.18 per cent, at Rs 7,411 per five quintal with an open interest of 56,850 lots.
Similarly, the delivery for December contracts edged up by Rs 11, or 0.15 per cent, at Rs 7,520 per five quintal in 7,140 lots.
