An employee of the state health department has been arrested for allegedly betting on a cricket match, police said today.
Jay Prakash, who works as a clerk in the Jhunjhunu Block health department was arrested yesterday during a raid, Jhunjhunu Station in-charge Kailash Gujjar said.
Police have recovered Rs 8 lakh in cash, an LCD and a mobile phone from his possession, he said, adding that the case is being investigated.
