Heat waves continue to sweep Punjab, Haryana

Heat wave conditions continued to sweep Haryana and Punjab, with maximum temperatures hovering between 41 to 45 degrees Celsius at most places today.

Chandigarh residents braved yet another hot day as many preferred to stay indoors to avoid the blazing sun.

Karnal, Hisar, Bhiwani, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Jalandhar continued to swelter.

The MeT Department here said that the heat wave condition is likely to continue tomorrow as well.
