Himachal Pradesh government today appointed two senior most IAS officers of 1982 batch, presently posted as additional chief secretaries as "principal Advisors".
Both the officers were aggrieved by their supersession by an officer of 1983 batch for the top post of chief secretary and were on leave.
The two officers Deepak Shanan and Vineet Chowdhary had approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), which had asked the officers to join duty and advised the government to consider their request posting, sympathetically.
Shanan, who is retiring on January 31 has been appointed as Principal Advisor (Administrative Reforms and training) against a newly created post for seven days while Vineet Chowdhary has been appointed Principal Advisor (Redressal of Public Grievances to the government), under overall supervision of chief minister with immediate effect in public interest.
