Income Tax officials Monday raided the premises of a local AIADMK functionary, also a government contractor, here and Tiruvarur, officials said.
The raids were conducted at the residential and business premises of T M A Manoharan, who is Serankulam unit AIADMK secretary and a director of the Thanjavur District Central Cooperative Bank, they said.
According to officials, the raids were held in six places by a team of 30 Income Tax sleuths.
Manoharan was a Selection Grade (Grade I) contractor of the government, they added.
