I understand teenage girls: Ryan Philippe

Actor Ryan Philippe, who has 17-year-old daughter, Ava, with former wife, actress Reese Witherspoon, says he now understands teenage girls better.

The 42-year-old actor says he easily bonded with his "Wish Upon" co-actor Joey King as she is the same age as his eldest child, reported People magazine.

"Joey King, who plays my daughter, is the same age as my daughter in real life. So she and I could connect very easily because I obviously understand teenage girls. The real-life experience I have does allow for a lot more natural attachment to the role," says Philippe.

The "Shooter" actor shares son Deacon, 13, with Witherspoon.
 

Philippe also has a six-year-old daughter Kai with ex- girlfriend Alexis Knapp.
