Integrated check post at Hosur soon

In a bid to ensure efficient tax collection from commercial transport vehicles, Tamil Nadu government today announced setting up of an integrated check post near Hosur.
Making a suo motu statement in the Assembly, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa said the check post, involving the police, commercial tax, transport, revenue, food, civil supplies protection, prohibition and excise departments would be set up in Hosur at a cost of Rs 120 crore.
"This would help in subjecting cargo vehicles to regular checking," she said.
The government would construct two integrated commercial tax complexes in Chennai at a total cost of Rs 60 crore, housing over 70 offices, she said.
