A judge has decided that a man charged with a mass murder is mentally unfit to stand trial for killing seven former classmates at a small Christian college in 2012.
Television news station KTVU reports that a California judge ruled Thursday that One Goh suffers from schizophrenia and is unable to assist his lawyers.
The former nursing student is charged with killing seven and injuring three during an April 2, 2012, rampage on the Oakland campus of Oikos University.
Goh has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, severe depression and a delusional disorder.
The 47-year-old will be confined indefinitely to a mental institution until he is ruled fit to stand trial.
Prosecutors say Goh dropped out of Oikos several months before the shooting and wanted his tuition refunded.
