Afghan President Hamid Karzai called Narendra Modi tonight to congratulate him on his victory in the Lok Sabha polls.
Karzai spoke to the BJP leader in Hindi and recalled his days as a student in Shimla.
Others who congratulated Modi tonight include Prime Minister of Denmark Helle Thorning-Schmidt and Prime Minister of Qatar Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
