Questioning the silence of BSP supremo Mayawati over the murder of Dalit VHP leader Arun Mahaur, Union Minister Ram Shankar Katheria asked if she has turned a blind eye towards the murder of Dalits in Uttar Pradesh due to votebank politics.
Mayawati, who weeps at suicides by Dalits has closed her eyes towards their murder in the state. Along with Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and other leaders, she is watching the spectacle of murder of Dalits, Katheria alleged.
He questioned if Mayawati was silent as Arun's killers belonged to a minority community and she needed their vote to come to power in the state.
