Yoga guru Ramdev today criticised AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal for opposing anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on the Lokpal Bill, saying he did not discharge his duty as a disciple.

"By going against Anna, Kejriwal did not discharge his duty as disciple of his guru," Ramdev, who was here to attend a function, told reporters.

"He (Kejriwal) opposed the Lokpal Bill which was supported by Anna Hazare. He went against the guru-disciple tradition," he said.

Hazare today broke his fast after passage of the Lokpal Bill in Parliament.

Kejriwal had expressed unhappiness over Hazare's support to the Lokpal Bill, which he had termed as 'Jokepal' and said it was weak and ineffective.

When asked about government formation in Delhi, Ramdev said the way Kejriwal was shying away from forming government was not correct.

He is avoiding responsibility, the yoga guru said.

In a fresh criticism of Congress for its support to homosexuality, Ramdev said the party had lost the public's support by criticising the Supreme Court verdict upholding Section 377 of the IPC.

He praised BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi saying the country needed a "strong leader" like him.

In response to a question, he said declaring Rahul Gandhi as Congress' PM nominee would make no difference.
