Lead prices were up by 0.76 per cent to Rs 125.25 per kg in futures trade today after traders strengthened their positions on the back of rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market amid firm global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in February traded higher by 95 paise or 0.76 per cent to Rs 125.25 per kg in business turnover of 458 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month March contracts edged up by 75 paise or 0.60 per cent to Rs 125.50 per kg in 17 lots.
