Lorry carrying granite stones seized

A lorry was seized today for transporting granite stones without legal permit, police said.

Tahsildhar Manimaran who checked a lorry carrying granite stones lorry found in the permit that granite stones were being transported by the vehicle from Pudukottai to Madurai.

But the quantum of granite stones being carried by the lorry and quantum mentioned in the permit differed.

He also found that the permit was fake.
