Lovers attempt suicide: Married woman dies, man serious

A 38-year-old married woman died and her paramour was hospitalised in a serious condition after the duo jumped before a moving train near Bhopa bridge as part of a suicide pact, police said today.

Kusum and Manjit Singh (35) attempted suicide last evening as their families were opposed to the relationship, they said.

While Kusum died on the spot, Manjit was rushed to the hospital where his condition is stated to be serious, police said.
