Little rain activity was witnessed in some parts of Madhya Pradesh after the heavy downpour of the last week.
No rain-related incident were reported till evening.
However, India Meteorological Department's Bhopal Centre director Dr Anupam Kashyapi said heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Satna, Umaria, Katni, Shahdol, Rajgarh, Guna and Agar-Malwa districts in the next 24 hours.
The forecast comes at a time when the life is limping back to the normal in Rewa and Satna districts, which were the worst hit by the floods.
MeT department has sounded 'torrential rainfall' alert for Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Ujjain, Rajgarh, Jhabua and Vidisha districts for the next 24 hours. Rain or thundershowers are expected at most places in Rewa, Shahdol and Ujjain divisions, Dr Kashyapi said.
Many places in Indore and Bhopal divisions besides Mandla, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Harda and Hoshangabad districts might experience rain or thundershowers.
Jhabua district recorded the maximum 55 mm of rainfall from 8.30 AM yesterday till the same time today.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today reviewed the situation at a meeting here and asked the officials to carry out survey of the loss caused by the heavy rains as quickly as possible so that a proposal seeking financial assistance can be sent to the Centre.
Last week at least 15 persons were killed in the rain- related incidents in the state.
