Maha minister Mahajan selected for efficient MLA award

Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan has been selected for "efficient MLA" award, instituted by the city-based Sarvajanik Vachnalaya.

The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a memento, will be presented to the senior BJP MLA who also happens to be the Guardian Minister of Nashik district, at a function on February 25, a library office-bearer said today.

The award was instituted in memory of freedom fighter and former MLC late Madhavrao Limaye.

Mahajan is a five-time MLA from Jamner in Jalgaon district.
