Shares of auto major Mahindra & Mahindra today went up by over four per cent as the company reported increase in total sales in June.
Mahindra & Mahindra's (M&M) scrip gained 4.03 per cent to close at Rs 1,194.15 on the BSE. In intra-day trade, it rallied 4.36 per cent to Rs 1,198.
At the NSE, the auto firm's stock rose by 4.25 per cent to settle at Rs 1,196.
In terms of volume, 1.16 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE, while more than 9 lakh shares were traded at the NSE.
The company today reported a marginal increase in total sales at 38,471 units in June as against 38,471 units in the same month last year.
The domestic sales also rose marginally at 36,457 units last month from 36,207 a year earlier.
