A man committed suicide allegedly over his wife's 'extramarital affair' with his younger brother in a village here, police said today.
Pradeep consumed poison on February 19 after his wife Shimla and his brother Lakshman allegedly thrashed him at his house in Shahbad Tigaon village in Faridabad, according to the complaint filed by Pradeep's father Sharda Ram.
In the complaint, Sharda Ram has alleged that the duo reached the house along with Pradeep's two sons and started beating him and Pradeep.
After they left, Pradeep apparently went to his room and consumed poison after which he started vomiting. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died yesterday, police said.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC.
No arrests have, however, been made, police said.
