An absconder, wanted in dishonest misappropriation of property and theft case, was today arrested after a year-long search from R S Pura area here, police said.
Mohammad Mureed, a resident of Marallian, was arrested by a police party near Dak Banglow on the outskirts of Jammu, a police spokesman said.
He said Mureed was wanted in an FIR lodged last year under section 379 (punishment for theft) and 403 (dishonest misappropriation of property).
He was evading arrest for a long time, the spokesman said.
