Manoj Bhatt is Rajasthan's new police chief

Senior IPS officer Manoj Bhatt was today appointed as Rajasthan's Director General of Police (DGP).

Bhatt was till now holding the post of Director General, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), a spokesperson of Department of Personnel said here.

The post of the DGP fell vacant in the state since yesterday after the retirement of Omendra Bhardwaj on his completion of 60 years of age.

The Rajasthan government has also promoted two IPS officers Ajit Singh and Jaswant Sampatram from Additional Director General to the post of Director General.

Singh, who was holding the post of Additional Director General in personnel would be now DG (Jail) in Rajasthan, while Sampatram, holding till now Additional DG (PHQ) would be now DG, Social and Home Defence, quoting an order, the official said.
 

Additional DGP Pankaj Kumar Singh, who is holding the post of ADG (crime department) was given additional charge of Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB), the official said.
