Mentha oil down 0.2% on profit-booking

Amid profit-booking by participants at prevailing levels, mentha oil prices were down by 0.21% to Rs 885.30 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far-month February declined by Rs 1.90, or 0.21%, to Rs 885.30 per kg, in a business turnover of 38 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in January shed Rs 1.40, or 0.16%, to Rs 873.50 per kg in 75 lots.

Marketmen attributed fall in mentha prices at futures trade to profit-booking by traders at existing levels and fall in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
