Humidity caused discomfort to the city residents as well as those in large parts of West Bengal today, as the Met department forecast moderate rainfall in different parts of the state.
Jalpaiguri received 134 mm rainfall from yesterday morning, the highest in the state, the MeT Department said.
The hill town of Darjeeling received 38.2 mm rain.

Only a few places in gangetic West Bengal received some rain, with Bankura recording 33.4 mm rain.
Bankura also recorded the day's highest temperature in the state at 36.6 mm.
Kolkata recorded 33.4 degrees Celsius during the day, but high humidity caused discomfort to the dwellers.
The Met Department has forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm for both Gangetic West Bengal and sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
