Night shelter opened in Rohini

To accommodate homeless people during the biting cold, a night shelter built at cost of Rs 1.50 crore by Ramakrishna Mission in Rohini was thrown open for them.
Vivekananda Night Shelter for homeless was constructed by the Mission as part of Swami Vivekananda's 150th birth anniversary celebrations.
On the occasion, Swami Shantatmanandaji, Secretary of the New Delhi centre of the Mission said that they were happy to open the ground and first floor of the night shelter in the midst of the chilling winter when hundreds of people are forced to live on streets.

The remaining two floors, he said, would be completed in the next few months.
The night shelter at Rohini Sector-1 can accommodate over 500 persons when completed, he said.
Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj who inaugurated the shelter recalled message of Swami Vivekananda and said he was confident that night shelter will go a long way in fulfilling the vision of Swami Vivekananda.
