Land Cruiser Noida Golf Course team came out victorious in the final of Toyota IGU NHS National Club Challenge after defeating nine other clubs from different corners of India at the Classic Golf Resort, Gurgaon.
In the closely fought contest at the National Final, Noida Golf Course team accumulated 174 points (best of 5) to emerge on top while Army Zone AEPTA Club fell short of just 3 points with a total score of 171 points.
The fierce competition saw the top three teams separated by just 7 points as Prius Oxford Golf and Country Club finished third with 167 points.
Winning team Noida Golf Course who was crowned as the Toyota IGU National Champion of the year, also won a golf cart sponsored by Toyota which they can use for their own golf course in future.
The best five individual nett scores of the six team members determined the result calculated under the stableford format and each team consisted of one player from different handicap categories which were 0-6, 7-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21-24 while the sixth player was a club nominee.
