A man was today shot at by a group of assailants inside the premises of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court complex here, in what is believed to be a fallout of rivalry between two gangs.
One person received bullet injury in his leg when the members of a rival gang fired upon him inside the court complex at Janipur area of the city this afternoon, police said.
"We have arrested some of the accused, right now we are in a meeting at the court complex and can give further details later," Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police, Jammu-Kathua Range, Ashkoor Wani said.
He said that the police was gathering details of the incident and would be able to brief about the incident later.
A case has been lodged in this connection and investigation has begun into it, police said.
Police said that the injured was shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital for treatment.
