Parts of Delhi receive light rains

Parts of the national capital received light rains as the maximum temperature settled at 35.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, also a notch above the normal level, an MeT department official said.

The Safdarjung observatory, the recordings of which is considered official for the city, received 0.6 mm rainfall between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, while Lodhi Road observatory recorded 0.7 mm of rains.

Palam, Ridge and Ayangar did not receive any rainfall during the same period.

The MeT office has forecast overcast skies and light rain for tomorrow.
 

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum had settled at 26.6 degrees Celsius.
