Press Trust of India Patna
Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan today hit out at Nitish Kumar government over the Nalanda incident in which a school's director was lynched by a mob and said it was a reflection of the return of "jungle raj" in the state.

"School's director was beaten to death with lathis by people and the administration could do nothing...Does this not reflect jungle raj has returned in Bihar?" Paswan told PTI.

Making a scathing attack at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Paswan said if this could happen in the CM's native district one could imagine the law and order situation in other parts of the state.

"Does 'Sushashan Babu' (Nitish Kumar) have any answer to what happened in Nalanda?" the union food minister and LJP chief asked.

He said had the administration been alert it could have properly investigated the case of death of two students and prevented people from taking law into their own hands.

The LJP President said that the Nalanda incident proved that "jungle raj" had returned to haunt Bihar.

People seemed to have lost faith in government and that is why such events were taking place, he said.
