Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Jhunjhunu district on March 8 to launch the National Nutrition Mission (NNM) and expand the 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' campaign, an official spokesperson said here today.
A meeting was convened in this regard by Chief Secretary N C Goyal, in which Union secretary for women and child development Rakesh Srivastava and other senior officers of the department, the state government and the police were present.
Directives were used to make time-bound arrangements for the upcoming visit of the prime minister, Goyal said in a statement.
Srivastava said the prime minister might distribute 'Nari Shakti' awards during the visit.
