Policeman held on charge of rape

The SI, identified as Rajib Chakraborty, allegedly raped the woman, who was living separately from her husband for some months, according to the police complaint filed by the woman.

The complaint was lodged with Patuli police station in the southern fringes of the city.

The accused was posted with the city police's special section port division (SSPD).
