Huge quantity of poppy straw has been seized during a raid in a rice mill in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, a police party raided a rice mill belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh at Kehribal Mattan, 65 kms from here, and seized poppy straw powder weighing 47.5 Kgs and poppy straw weighing 31.5 Kgs from the mill, a spokesman of police said.
Police has registered a case and investigation is on, he said.
