President Pranab Mukherjee today congratulated Bangalore-based Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for figuring in the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2015-16.
The President expressed his hope that the Indian Institute of Science will continue to provide leadership in enhancing the standards of education in the country to meet future challenges.
He emphasised that the work of IISc should also be an inspiration for other Institutions of higher learning in the country to scale new heights.
The President, who is 'Visitor' to 114 Institutes of higher learning, has been constantly urging universities to develop themselves into global leaders.
