Punjab govt ready for "all possible help" to Yuvraj: Badal

"The Punjab government is prepared to provide out of the way all possible help to Yuvraj Singh if the player is keen to open a Cricket academy in the state," the Chief Minister told reporters here.

Not only Cricket, the Punjab government is keen to promote other games like Football and Hockey provided talented players show interest to contribute for the upcoming players, he said.

"I am ready to sign a blank cheque for Yuvraj if he desire to open a Cricket academy in Punjab," he added.

Yuvraj Singh, who underwent three cycles of chemotherapy in United States for a rare germ cell cancer between his lungs, returned to the country yesterday to a rousing reception from adoring fans in New Delhi and Punjab.

 

The cricketer arrived from London after spending a few days there and headed with his mother Shabnam Singh to his home in Gurgaon, Haryana.

After the BCCI came in aid of the Indian Cricketer, it was the Punjab government which expressed desire to provide help to Yuvraj so that upcoming players in the state get vital tips on the game. PTI VJ ATK
