The Punjab Kesari Group of papers today gave Rs 91 lakh towards the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister's Relief Fund to help flood affected victims of the state.
"Abhijay Chopra, Director, Punjab Kesari Group, called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today and presented a cheque for Rs 91,05,837 for Chief Minister's Relief Fund," an official Raj Bhawan spokesman said.
He said the amount was collected from donations received by the Group from all over the country for helping the flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Governor appreciated the Group's initiative and observed that the amount would be utilised for providing relief to the flood victims in the state.
