Refined soya oil futures plummet on subdued demand

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined soya oil prices fell by Rs 3.85 to Rs 752 per 10 kg in futures trade on Tuesday as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 3.85, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 752 per 10 kg in 33,160 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in December shed Rs 4.45, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 752.80 per 10 kg in 7,790 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators on low demand against adequate stocks position influenced refined soya oil prices here.
