Soybean futures decline on sluggish demand

Soybean prices fell by Rs 22 to Rs 3,715 per quintal at the futures trade on Tuesday amid weak demand as investors were off-loading their holdings.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean delivery for the November contract slipped Rs 22, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 3,715 per quintal with the business turnover of 79,310.

For the December delivery, the contract fell by Rs 24 or 0.64 per cent to Rs 3,744 per quintal with an open interest of 65,670 lots.

According to traders, the prices of soybean fell at futures trade on sluggish demand and sell-off by participants.
