"The CM in his budget presented in the house yesterday has made an effort to fulfil the promises made by the SP during the elections which is an appreciable step", RJD state president Ashok Singh told reporters here.
He said the provisions made for the youths and students in the budget would help in promoting the education sector in the state.
The decision to give free laptops and tablets would benefit students, specially those living in rural areas and economically weaker background, Singh said.
The state president said that re-launching unemployment allowance and kanya vidyadhan schemes were also an appreciable step.
"In his budget the CM has given special emphasis to the power sector, which is a must for UP facing acute power crisis", he said.
Singh also said that the government's commitment towards farmers and their interests would provide the much needed boost to the farm sector.
"Provision for loan waiver up to Rs 50,000 would provide great relief to farmers, specially small farmers, facing financial problems", he said.
