Russian nationals living here today cast their votes in the polls to elect the Duma, the lower house of the Russian Federal Parliament.
Diplomats, employees of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai and several other Russian nationals voted enthusiastically, a Russian Cultural Centre official said.
"Over 100 persons have so far voted for positions in the Federal Parliament and those in municipal and regional bodies," Information Advisor, Russian Cultural Centre, P Thangappan told PTI.
Consul General of the Consulate General of Russian Federation in South India, Sergey L Kotov also voted here, he added.
