Select pulses rise on stockists buying

Select pulses rose up to Rs 400 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on stockists buying driven by pick up in demand from retailers against limited arrivals from producing belts.

Traders attributed the rise in select pulses to pick up in demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing region.

In the national capital, kabli gram small variety climbed to Rs 4,000-6,800 from previous level of Rs 4,000-6,400 per quintal.

Gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 150 each to Rs 3,300-3850, Rs 4050-4250 and Rs 4150-4250 per quintal respectively.

Masoor small and bold shot up by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,700-4,950 and Rs 4,900-5,000 and its dal local and best quality traded higher by similar margin to Rs 5,550-5,650 and Rs 5,650-5750 per quintal respectively. Moth moved up by Rs 200 to Rs 4,900-5,200 per quintal.
 

In line with a general firm trend, edged up to Rs 4,000-4,750 from previous close of Rs 3,900-4,700, while its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,500-5,700 and Rs 5,750-6,350 per quintal respectively. Urad dal dhoya too traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 6,000-6,400 per quintal.
