Senior engineer at AP power company held for Rs 1 lakh bribe

A senior engineer with Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd (APSPDCL) has been caught accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said today.

The Assistant Divisional Engineer (name withheld) was caught by ACB sleuths at his residence in Yemmiganur town, Kurnool district when he accepted Rs 1 lakh from a person for doing an official favour, an ACB release said here today.

After recovery of the bribe amount, the officer was placed under arrest, it added.
