Senior Tax dept official held on bribery charges

S S Rawat was caught by a vigilance team in his office at Khatima area of Udhamsingh Nagar district yesterday while he was taking of Rs 45,000, the second installment of the bribe, from the businessman Iqshad Ahmed Pataudi, they said.

The vigilance team laid a trap following a complaint of Pataudi that Rawat was demanding Rs 65,000 bribe for clearing his case. Pataudi paid the first installment of Rs 20,000 few days back, the officials said.
