Sintex Q1 net profit up 12% at Rs 69 crore

Textile and plastic company Sintex Industries today registered a 12 per cent growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 69 crore during the quarter ended June 30, mainly on account of growth in its custom molding business.

The company registered a net profit of Rs 61.59 crore in the same period, a year ago.

"Custom molding has grown 24 per cent and I believe we are entering a high growth era with a blend of synergies flowing in future. Prefab on the back of strong order flows will keep the momentum higher in coming quarters," Sintex Industries Group MD Amit Patel said in a statement.
 

The consolidated total income of Sintex grew by about 9 per cent to Rs 1,471.21 crore in the reported quarter as against Rs 1,345.41 crore in the year-ago period.
