Small sugar prices edged up at the Vashi wholesale market here today on mild demand from millers and bulk consumers.
Meanwhile, medium sugar prices ruled unchanged owing to absences of any worthwhile buying activity.
Small sugar (S-30) inched-up by a Re per quintal to Rs 3,870/3,936 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,870/3,935.
However, Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at yesterday's level of 3,920/4,092.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,870/3,936 (Rs 3,870/3,935).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,920/4,092 (Rs 3,920/4,092).
