Small sugar gains on renewed demand

Small sugar prices gained at the Vashi wholesale market here today on renewed demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

While, medium sugar closed mixed owing to alternated pattern of buying and selling activity.

Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 6/7 to Rs 3,952/4,012 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,946/4,005.

Medium sugar (M-30) quoted at Rs 3,966/4,172 as against Rs 3,986/4,166 previously.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,952/4,012 (Rs 3,946/4,005).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,966/4,172 (Rs 3,986/4,166).
